Long time, no blog, I know. But it really doesn't seem like anyone reads my things anymore, so I'm just going to babble.
First things first, I wan't able to successfully complete the anatomy class for the P&O program, so now I'm in the process of looking for a job.
Since I'm not going back to school (for at least this year anyway) I'm applying for a couple jobs in Washington state because EVERYONE is telling me that I should stay here (close to them of course!) and so there's a webcast talk show hostess position that I'm applying for -- in which I need a 8X10 headshot and a demo reel, and a few print journalism positions near the puget sound area (even though I may have to commute an hour each way).
I took some headshots with Billy at Mirror Image, and paid waaaay too much money for them because I was being greedy and wanted a lot of copies, but I figured that it was going to be a graduation present for myself since I didn't get many of them from anyone for graduating college...which is kinda a bummer but I can't complain too much because my sister took me to Hawaii and we had tons of fun. Bad news is we spent WAY TOO MUCH money and used up my student loan money that I got from BofA and we need to pay it back asap. Hopefully we can do that soon.
As for the demo reel, I met a guy who produces movies (and is currently in the works of getting his movie looked at my the big names) and he said that he would help me make two demo reels: one for the talk show hostess position and the other for anchor positions in the future. He's really good at what he does:

That's his movie that he's been working on. ^_^
Hope everything goes well...and I hope everything is going well for everyone else. I'm a bit stressed out lately because I feel like I'm such a loser for not having a job since I am a college graduate now! HMPH! Oh well, I hope it isn't too long for this to happen for me...
Other than that, I'm just working part time still at LH and depleting my bank account and racking up credit cards, but I just found out that my credit score is really good for a 23- (almost 24)- year old... |
